'Team Snapback Runs this Town,' say Prosper Parents and Teens

"Team Snapback" may have been more than just several high schoolers hanging out. Parents and students describe a culture of fear in Prosper, of any gang of hard-partying teens.

We spoke that has a number of parents and students in Prosper today who were too afraid to take camera. They were too afraid to chat, even without having to be identified. They told us they're frightened of payback from the number of boys they assert run this town.

Students at Prosper High School describe 'Team Snapback' as the popular crowd, mainly football players, recognized for big parties.

"Just typical high school graduation parties really I hear, but I guess important things have changed here recently," said senior Brady Thompson.

"Prosper is becoming a a football school that after you're great athlete in football one does run the institution and the town," said senior Chandler Point.

High school administrators didn't know about the group until Monday, when police appeared to arrest Darius McClinton-Hunter, 17, son of los angeles Angels' Torii Hunter, Garrick White, 17, and three 16-year-old boys. All five are convicted of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

In court Tuesday, prosecutors said the group includes a good reputation drugging girls and forcing them to have sex.

"Nobody knows things to think right now, along with the school's done pretty well wanting to get it," said Thompson.

Students say school officials are keeping the arrests quiet, and restricting entry to social media marketing sites.

"They keep us certainly not speaking about much. They've cracked down, like we can not have our phones in school today, but it is definitely the word with the town," said Thompson.

Social networking posts of Team Snapback, showing the teens partying, are becoming part of the investigation. Police the investigation could show there are more, and result in more charges.

In court Tuesday, among the teens reportedly claimed the sex was consensual. Hunter's attorney says the facts will prove his innocence.

Assistant Superintendent Mike Goddard says he was told by investigators no sexual assaults happened at Prosper High school graduation.
